Very strong three-piece self-titled debut album of Andie Brown's These Feathers Have Plumes (thanx twice, Andie!). Double bass/field drones from London. Drifting in thick dark tones thru ambience with no beginning and no ending... Great. Sold out (who could doubt).
"These Feathers Have Plumes create an incredibly seductive sound world filled with layers of dark wafting smoke, deep resonant drones and an amazing full tonal palette, plunging the listener into the darkest of depths and slowly releasing them into the light. A true breathing environment of sound is created to immerse oneself in; leading in and out with clues and connections to the real world like the songs of birds, the stirring of water or even the way in which warm sun feels to the skin on a crisp autumn day. Indeed there is something rather achingly Romantic and tragic in the song titles and the manner in which the music is constructed, as if These Feathers Have Plumes is conducting an inquiry into the sublime through the contemplation of ordinary life..."
