Tripolar is a quite young formation — it emerged from the hyper-efficient mist of obscure Finnish underground about a year ago by diligences of Joel Kivelä, Jari-Matti Nurminen and Heikki Kivelä. Sax/guitar/drums trio claimed to play post-industrial free jazz at their 6 stage appearances (all round Jyväskylä, Helsinki and Turku). Tripolar's improv sound have the similar free form roots with famous Vapaa, and this relationships couldn't raise questions coz both projects are linked via Joel's founding participation. The only difference could be mentioned — Tripolar is a bit wilder, while Vapaa is… weirder.
Here's two docs from band's gigs. Feel the power of the mighty trinity.
